FAIR Principles
The „Kompetenznetz Vorhofflimmern“ (AFNET) is committed to the FAIR principles and works continuously to implement them:
In 2016, the „FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship“ were published in Scientific Data1.
The FAIR principles are guidelines for improving the management and utilisation of data. They aim to design data in such a way that they are findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable for people and machines.
The focus is on machine discoverability (i.e. the ability of computer systems to find, access, interact with and reuse data without the need for human intervention) as humans become increasingly reliant on computer assistance due to the growing volume, complexity and speed of data creation.
